WELCOMING
REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT OF KIEA
Thank you for visiting the webpage of the Korea Institution
and Economics Association (KIEA). It is with great
pleasure that I take on the important role in leading the
KIEA during these challenging times, when, as concerned scholars
and professionals in different walks of life, we have been
forced back to address with greater care the many perennial
issues of modern life, some of which are intricately intertwined
with the economic, political and legal institutional landscape
that affect us all.
Amongst the many activities for us this year, it is with great
pride to announce the up-coming conference on ¡°Institutions and National Competitiveness II¡± to be held in Seoul, Korea, on August 10-12, 2010. I look forward to hearing from many
important speakers, who will provide their analysis and insights
toward a better understanding of our current situation, as
well as their valuable suggestions for improving our institutions.
On behalf of my colleagues, I would like to take this opportunity
to thank all individuals and organizations that continue to
provide support, advice and encouragement. I will continue
to see to it that KIEA remains committed to research, discussion
and informing the public of the many broad areas that our
members are actively engaged in.
President JWA, SUNG-HEE |
